Dr. Tobias Wildi is an archivist by training, working as a professor at Fachhochschule Graubünden (Chur) and as a consultant in various projects for public libraries and archives. His research and consulting interests include data and metadata models for archives, the application of semantic technologies in memory institutions, and the preservation of digital cultural heritage.

Context and Authenticity in Historic Archives (Lightning Talk)
In this lightning talk, Tobias presents the importance of context and contextualization for historical archives. Today, archives no longer receive analog documents, but digital data for their longterm storage. In the digital realm, there is no longer an «original» version of the archived material. Thus, contextualization plays a vital role in establishing authenticity and trustworthiness.
