Felix Högner

Felix spent well over a decade in the field of design and UX, starting in agencies but quickly gravitating to IT, where complex problems for specialized users wait to be solved. A deep understanding of user’s behaviors and needs paired with technical expertise can unlock tremendous value. However, economic factors are all too often not in the scope and largely ignored, which can lead to failing or underperforming products and solutions. The fascination for innovation and business methodologies led Felix to do an EMBA to further expand his scope and move beyond the screen.

The Value of Design and Creativity in Innovation

“There is surely nothing quite so useless, as doing with great efficiency, something that should not be done at all.”

This quote by the Austrian-American economist Peter Drucker describes a common dilemma in many organizations: Established processes and plans are pushing away a central question: Should we do what we do? In his talk, Felix will share key learnings from his EMBA thesis about innovation in project-based organizations and some great tools and frameworks that can expand the designers’ toolkit.
